This cosmetic procedure is done to restore or increase breast size using saline implants, silicone gel implants or fat transfer. It is a popular and frequent procedure that cuts across women of all ages. It has a good track record of success in satisfying the wishes and desires of women who want to regain, restore, or enhance their figures.
Breast augmentation is performed after the following considerations:
• If you wish to have an appealing and better proportioned figure.
• When weight loss, aging or a pregnancy has affected the shape and size of your breasts.
• In order to restore asymmetry to your breasts if one is larger than the other.
• If you believe that your breasts are considerably small for your frame.
Before the procedure, our surgeon will carry out preliminary consultation and testing to establish whether you are a suitable candidate. On top of this, they will discuss with you the details of the procedure including possible side effects, incision points, the healing period, future examination dates as well as the best augmentation option between implants and fat transfer.
Your anatomy, health profile, and personal preferences will determine your breast size, implant type, and the best surgery option for you. Our surgeons will make your experience easy, comfortable, and safe. They will also ensure that you attain your desired results.
How the Procedure is Carried Out
During the augmentation procedure, the surgeon makes an incision, lifts the breast tissue, creates a pocket within the chest area, and then places an implant in the pocket. The breast implants are put in a pocket either on top of your pectoral muscle, or underneath it. Placing the implants underneath your pectoral muscle has minimal interference with breastfeeding and mammograms.
The other option involves autologous fat transfer. Here, fat is removed using liposuction from one of the fat-yielding parts of the body such as the thighs, abdomen or flanks. This fat is then processed and injected into your breasts.
